Background
Our client was motivated to book their Preventicum assessment after experiencing shortness of breath climbing stairs and anxiety about their health.

During their exercise stress echocardiogram and cardiac MRI scans, abnormalities were seen.
Next steps
Our client was urgently referred to see a Cardiologist by her Preventicum Doctor and further investigation revealed a high-grade atrioventricular block, a potentially life-threatening condition. A pacemaker was fitted successfully to regulate and normalise her heart rhythm and we are delighted to hear that our client reported an upturn in her health and general wellbeing.
