CLIENT STORY
Brain pushing on spine
Background
Our client attended her first Preventicum assessment, reporting a tingling sensation in her hand and face.
Clinical findings
During their brain MRI scan, our team of Radiographers saw that the lower part of her brain as pushing on her spinal column, in turn causing fluid buildup. A further MRI scan of her spine revealed that this fluid extended the distance of twelve vertebra.
Next steps
Our client’s Preventicum Doctor urgently referred them to a Neurologist, who along with a Neurosurgeon advised her to avoid any further manipulation of the neck. They decided that the best course of action was a spinal decompression procedure to take the pressure of her spinal column which was successful and our client returned for their next health assessment with no symptoms.
